Girls on the Run-McHenry County needs volunteers! We rely on our volunteers to help us reach as many girls in our community as we possibly can! Event Volunteer
Our event volunteers have opportunities to volunteer for an hour on one weekend, or dedicated many hours to planning successful events!
Race Committee
Help plan our 5K! Be part of a team that will plan and implement a fabulous fundraiser and community event.
Program Support
As a support volunteer, you will help put together our coaches boxes which allows us to deliver our programs. Your busy time is in February and August.
Coaching
Coaching is the most time consuming - and most rewarding position available! You will go through a GOTR training program and will meet with your girls twice a week for 10-weeks. You will be their biggest cheerleader on race day! You do not need to be a runner! If you care about girls and helping them out of the girl-box - this job is for you!Running Buddy
As a running buddy you will run a practice 5K and the Big Event with a GOTR girl! Your role is to have fun, encourage your buddy and help her cross the finish line. Yet another rewarding volunteer job! Visit our Running Buddy page to find out more!
